        Located in Tempe, Arizona, we are a progressive, compassionate patient and client care focused veterinary practice. We provide comprehensive and personalized medical, surgical, diagnostic, dental, and alternative health care, including laser therapy, supplements, VOM and nutritional support. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and client services in a caring, comfortable environment.   All dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, ferrets, guinea pigs and pocket pets are welcome! To make your pet's visit less stressful, our veterinary practice has separate dog and cat/exotic areas
    McClintock Animal Care Center is also a Cat Friendly Certified Practice. The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) has only given this certification to 6 veterinary practices in all of Arizona. This designation shows our devotion to creating a positive experience for all our feline patients. Our knowledgeable and kind team of doctors and staff enjoy meeting and helping our clients and their furry family members.

    Dr. Wight is the owner of McClintock Animal Care and has been with the practice since 1990. She attended U of A and received her DVM degree from Colorado State University in 1989. Her professional interests include internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, and feline medicine. Dr. Wight enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She loves her two orange cats, Peaches and Mango, as well as her two Maltese/Havanese dogs, Novi and Sparkles.

    Dr. Karen Claus, DVM CVCP

    Dr. Claus has been an associate doctor at McClintock Animal Care since 1997. She received her DVM degree in 1986 from Michigan State University. Her professional interests include surgery, dentistry, and pocket pets. Dr. Claus has two labradors, Sisko and Luna, a cat named Lucky and a horse named Tiffany.  She shares her four legged friends with her husband and 2 children.  Dr. Claus enjoys taking Tiffany on trail rides.

    Dr. Duplissis joined the practice in 2001. She attended ASU and received her DVM degree at Colorado State University in 1998. Her professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine, pain control, and geriatric care. Dr. Duplissis and her husband enjoy spending time together with their son and daughter. Her family also includes Marbles, a yellow Lab and Tico, a black/white cat.

    Krista began in 2006 after completing her AAS degree in Veterinary Technology.  Along with being a skilled veterinary nurse, Krista also does a great job as our Technician Supervisor for the nursing team, as well as our Media Administrator-maintaining our website and anything else that falls online!  Her family consists of her husband, 3 cats, her beloved and spoiled pitbull, Mary Jayne, and an inherited boston terrier, Sir Higgins.  Krista also enjoys staying with pets while their parents are out of town! She has a special place in her heart for Pitbulls; in her free time she likes movies and traveling!

    As our Front Desk Supervisor, Becky keeps our office running smoothly.  She began at our clinic in 2007 and you will find her always wearing a smile.  She says she truly enjoys meeting all our pet parents and patients.  Her family consists of her wonderful husband and two adorable cats, Teddy and Monkey Bob.  In her free time, Becky loves to travel and just be outdoors (she has lived in many exotic locations!).

    Caroline, Operations Manager

    Caroline joined us in 2009. She went to school in Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in Entrepreneurship and after college worked in New Home Sales, but eventually her passion for animals led her to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Tired of the snow and gloomy weather in her hometown of Syracuse, New York, she moved here for the hot and sunny weather. As well as being a nurse, Caroline is also the Operations Manager here at the clinic. Caroline and her husband Heath, share their home with three dogs: a lab mix rescue named Maddie, a Great Dane named Ender, and a Rottweiler mix rescue named Tandum. When not working she and her husband love to be in the sun with their fantastic pets.

    Jessica, Administrative Coordinator

    Jessica joined our nursing team in 2009.  Before relocating to Arizona from Michigan in 2008, Jessica enjoyed working at a pet store for several years where she was affectionately known as the "bunny girl".  While Jessica enjoys being a skilled veterinary nurse, she is also our Cat Advocate and helps manage our Cat Friendly Practice accreditation, does our OSHA safety training, and helps with the continuing education for the staff.  She loves all animals but Jessica's true passion is exotic pets.  At home, she cares for her very spoiled black cat, Wednesday, and her rabbit, Chloe.  She also has two California King snakes, Zebree and Ice Princess. In her spare time, Jessica loves hiking.

    Vanessa, Training Coordinator

    Vanessa joined our nursing team in 2009. She was born and raised in Arizona, and has been working as a veterinary technician since graduating a veterinary technician program in February 2009.  Vanessa is our Training Coordinator and helps bring on new employees and turn them into dedicated team members. Her professional interests include getting to know her patients and their owners, as well as broadening her skills within the field.  One of her favorite passions is crafting, and she is able to enjoy that here, brightening up our office and our patients! Vanessa makes our decorative pens that sit at our front desk, as well as our scrapbooks that sit up in our lobby.  She makes the bandanas that we can send home with patients, as well as little bows that we can put on their collars! She loves spending time with her husband, daughter, precious miniature poodle, Tater, and her pitbull Dayla. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her friends.

    Charlotte, Patient Care Coordinator

    After years of being a public servant, Charlotte "Char" decided to go another route and serve our furry friends.  Char joined our team in 2010 after graduating from a veterinary nursing program.  She says she loves to meet all our patients, and is enjoying every single moment of working with them.  She does an awesome job as our Patient Care Coordinator-helping with treatments for our admitted patients, keeping them comfortable, or giving them just a nice cuddle! Char grew up with a menagerie of animals, including horses, geese, dogs, cats, rabbits, and even a peacock.  During her time off, she loves being with her son, Michael, and daughter, Kaitlyn, as well as being on top of any mountain or trail.  The furry members of her family include 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 guinea pig...who are very well-loved.

    Brittany was born and raised right here in Phoenix! She knew at a very young age that she had a strong passion for caring for animals.  Brittany graduated from Apollo College in 2008 from the Veterinary Assistant Program and has been in the field ever since.  Brittany has two sweet pitbulls, Papas and Brenda-which she has had since they were puppies. She enjoys seeing our Pitbull and Great Dane patients and in her free time loves to catch up with family and traveling!

    Enya moved from the east coast and joined our nursing team in fall of 2012.  While the scenery is a bit different, she loves it here in the desert!  Enya has a degree in Biology from Wesleyan College and has always hoped to use that degree to help animals.  She herself has a yellow lab named Sam, a chihuahua named Daphne, and a cat named Sulley.  Enya also has a passion for horses and has been riding most of her life.  In her spare time she loves reading, being creative, and volunteering at the horse rescue.

    Hannah just joined our team and we are so excited to have her. She is originally from Northern California, but loves it here in the valley. Throughout her entire life Hannah has wanted to help and care for animals. Hannah shares her home with her boyfriend and their two rescued German Shepard mixes, Jasper and Daisy. In her free time Hannah enjoys going paint-balling, two-stepping, snowboarding, and reading.
